Have you ever heard the saying “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got?”. Well this famous quote from Henry Ford is entirely accurate and it begs the question of whether the actions you are taking in your day to day life are bringing you closer to success than the day before. In fact, I think that many people need to make a few changes in their lives if they want to expedite their path towards riches and in this article, I will share with you 7 crucial decisions you must make to be rich!

Number 1: Live Outside Your Comfort Zone

One of my favourite quotes is “without struggle there is no progress” and one of the first crucial decisions you must make to be rich is to live outside your comfort zone. I remember a couple of years ago when I was studying for my CPA exam and had to write practice cases to prepare myself for the real exam. Every week I would have to write multiple 4 to 5 hour cases. While this isn’t so bad when it’s time for the real exam, committing this amount of time just to practice was challenging. In fact, I had never studied or even concentrated for this length of time before. However, after the first few times focusing for this length of time, writing exams of this length became easier and easier and my efforts were handsomely rewarded when I began getting job offers after I had received my designation. For you, living outside your comfort zone may be working on your public speaking, negotiating a new deal with a client or simply talking to that girl or guy you like. What you already possess exists in your comfort zone which is why if you want to develop and see yourself achieve true wealth then you must escape familiarity and challenge yourself to grow!

Number 2: Stop Blaming The Government

I’m sure you’ve experienced this before. Every few years there’s an election in your city or country and as the prospect of a new leader coming into power arises, people gain a sense of renewal and hope for a more prosperous future. They say that if this man or this woman is elected I will be in such a better position but as we often see, six months or a year down the road, these individuals often fail to deliver on their promises and those hopeful people remain in despair.
